Sleek - Cleopatra's Kiss Highlighting Palette

Sleek highlighter palette review

As you might (or might not) know, I am a huge fan of highlighters.
I was really excited when the news reached me that Sleek released a new highlighting palette: Cleopatra's Kiss.
In this blogpost I will be comparing this palette with another one of my favourites: Sleek Solstice.
Keep reading to see the new Sleek beauty!

Sleek highlighter palette review

In the picture here above you can see both palettes, laying gorgeous next to each other.
Don't they look amazing?

Every Sleek highlighting palette is suitable for every skintone and skintypes.
Let's take a closer look at these two Sleek highlighting palettes.

Sleek solstice review

The first one that I am showing you, is the very known Sleek Solstice palette.
This palette contains one creamy highlighter, two baked powders and one extremely shimmery powder.
I am a huge fan of the baked highlighters in this palette.
Although, the pigmentation of every texture in this palette is simply amazing.
This palette really gives your skin a radiant and healthy glow.
It can be used on your face and body.
(swatches can be seen at the end of this blogpost)

sleek cleopatra's kiss revies

And here we have our Sleek's new baby: Cleopatra's Kiss.
This is Solstice new baby sister.
This Sleek palette contains two baked highlighters and two creamy ones.

This palette can be used onto your face and body to give it a luminous, golden glow.
Now let's compare this new pretty one with the known Solstice palette.

Sleek highlighter review

On the left side you can see swatches from the Sleek Solstice palette and on the right the new Cleopatra's Kiss palette.
As you can see Solstice is more pinkish and light,
while Cleopatra's Kiss contains more golden and warm highlighters.

If you ask me to choose a favourite palette, I wouldn't be able to make a choice because I both love them.
They both are stunning and stay so good on your skin.

Knowing that these palettes only cost € 13,99 each, this really is a musthave in your makeup stash!
Get your palette here!

Which palette is your favourite out of these two?

Essence 15 Years - Birthday Bash Berlin

Essence is turning 15 years this year, and that needs to be celebrated!
That was the main reason Essence threw a birthday bash party in Berlin.
I was there and I am going to show you guys everything you need to know about this birthday party in Berlin.

As mentioned above, the party took place in Berlin.
Not just any place in Berlin, but in the Tempodrom.
This is an event hall where several concerts and happening are organised.
I was really surprised Essence arranged this location, it looks stunning right?

In the Tempodrom itself there were performances by several artists, I wasn't able to take a camera with me so I don't have pictures of them.
But their shows were great to look at!

The event hall was decorated in a lot of pink.
Cushions, balloons, flags,..
Everything to throw a girly party was there!

At the event, there was also a 'Cosnova Lounge'.
This was the VIP lounge where all the bloggers could drink something, have a snack and just chill a little bit.
As you might know, Cosnova is the company behind the makeup creations of Essence and Catrice.
So that explains the name of this lounge.

As my '+1' I took my boyfriend to the event to discover the world of blogging and makeup with me.
Here you see a picture of us, chilling in the Cosnova lounge and enjoying a curry snack.
It was delicious!

But now, the real highlight of this event for me: creating your custom made lipgloss.
I have waited for over 2 hours in line, but I made it to the 'laboratory'.
When you take a closer look at the picture here above, you can spot me and my boyfriend on the left.
Yes, my boyfriend even created a lipgloss for me (he's the best!).

An Essence co-worker is putting my custom made lip color into a lipgloss tube,
it was so fascinating watching this proces!

And here I am, proud of my lipgloss!
I am holding the cup where I created my color in, and off course the finished product:
the 'Art,This is Art-lipgloss 'which I absolutely love!

At every good event, there is also a photobooth to make a lasting memory of your event.
I stood in the line for 10 minutes, and got a great Essence picture in return.

This picture really is a great reminder of an even greater event.
I really want to thank Essence for having me.

An off course there was a goodiebag, but that I will show you in a later blogpost.

What would your custom made lip color look like?

La Roche Posay Summer Essentials

la roche posay review

In this blogpost I will be showing you guys my summer musthaves by La Roche Posay.
These are all products I recommend taking with you on a holiday.
Let's take a look.

la roche posay review

La roche posay Lipikar gel lavant

It all starts with the Lipikar Cleansing Gel.
This cleansing gel cleanses your face but it does it very gently and even protects the sensitives skins among us.
It can be used on everyone,
even on babies (because on holidays things might get dirty in the sand and stuff :D)
This cleansing gel respects your natural Ph of your skin and doesn't affect your eyezone, which makes it very comfortable to use this Lipikar Cleansing gel.

la roche posay hydraphase intense légère

Next up I have this Hydraphase Intense Légère.
This is a cream that hydrates your skin intensely, and it does it 24 hours!
Your skin becomes smoother, fuller and visibly radiant thanks to the formula with a high concentration of hyaluronic acid.
It doesn't feel sticky at all, which I really like a lot.
That's why this cream is called légère, this is a French word for 'light',
because this cream really has a light texture.

la roche posay cicaplast baume spf50

Going into the sun with damaged skin?
Recently got tattoos, abrasions, a dermatological treatment?
Then you should think of this Cicaplast baume SPF50.

Why an SPF50?
A damaged skin that is in the sun needs to be soothed, repaired but most important it has to be protected.
With this cream you have it all in one tube: protecting, soothing and repairing your skin never was so easy!
Best part is, this Cicaplast baume also prevents dark spots to appear because of the SPF50.

What products do you take with you on holiday?

Redken No Blow Dry

Are you running out of time but you still want your hair to look flawless?
Than Redken No Blow Dry creams are exactly what you need!
In this post I show you the 3 different No Blow Dry creams by Redken, and what they are used for.
These creams are made to style your hair,
apply them on towel dry hair and just let them dry et voila!

Redken No Blow Dry

Redken No Blow Dry Just Right Cream

Did you sleep too long? Are you too tired to style your hair?
This No Blow Dry Just Right cream is just what you need.
This cream is made for normal hair types.
This cream gives your hair a smooth texture with a little bit of 'swung'.
That means a little 'bounce' in your hair when you're walking.

Redken No Blow Dry

Redken No Blow Dry Bossy Cream

When you want you thick hair to be in model and you don't have time to dry it with an hair dryer, this cream is your lifesaver.
This cream is especially made for thick hair, you apply a small amount of cream on towel dry hair and just let it air dry.

When your hair is completely dry your hair will look natural, soft and bulky, just like the publicity they make for shampoo.

Redken No Blow Dry

Redken No Blow Dry Airy Cream

This No Blow Dry cream by redken is especially for those who have really fine hair..
By using this cream your hair will stay straight and makes your hair 'frizz proof'.

Extra tip: This cream is also great to create beach waves with.
Just apply the cream, make a loose braid and let your hair air dry.
When your hair is dry, the beach waves will appear just like that!
I love doing this.

What kind of creams do you use to style your hair?

L'Occitane - Petal Cleansing Oil

L'Occitane Petal Cleansing Oil

Last month I was invited to a press event to discover some new things in beauty world.
One of the brands that was present on this event, was L'Occitane.
I got to discover a gorgeous petal cleansing oil.
let's discover it together.

L'Occitane Petal Cleansing Oil

In this picture you can see the two newbies by L'Occitane I got to discover .
On the left you can see the amazing cleansing oil, and on the right you can see a special mask by L'Occitane.

L'Occitane Petal Cleansing Oil

I got an overnight perfecting mask.
It comes in a single dose, and it smells amazing.
This mask really smells like flowers and it feels soft.
This is a mask that you put on before you go to sleep.
Just take a good night rest and when you wake up the mask has done its job.
My skin really felt hydrated and looked very healthy.

L'Occitane Petal Cleansing Oil

And now the star of this collection.
A cleansing oil with petals in it.
It is sooooooo beautiful, I am absolutely in love with it.

You can use this cleansing oil on your face, but you should avoid the area around the eyes.
Take a little water and start cleansing your face, the oil will become a mousse texture.

The petals may vary from shape and color, but this does not have any effect on the results of this cleansing oil.

L'Occitane Petal Cleansing Oil

What do you think about this petal cleansing oil?
Do you like it?

Chanel - Rouge Coco Gabrielle

Chanel Rouge Coco Gabrielle

As you might know, the designer bag 'Gabrielle' by Chanel is hot business right now.
The perfect moment to take a look at the Rouge Coco lipstick by Chanel with the same name as the bag: Gabrielle.

Chanel Rouge Coco Gabrielle

As usual for Chanel, their products come in a black box with golden accents and the product details written in white.
This packaging is really timeless for me and really never gets bored at all.
I absolutely love it!

Chanel Rouge Coco Gabrielle

I got myself the Rouge Coco lipstick by Chanel, because for me these are more lasting than the Rouge Shine lipstick.
There is also a 'Rouge Allure' line in the Chanel makeup range, but I haven't tried that one out yet, maybe I will soon as I am a makeup addict :D

This lipstick is called 'Gabrielle', which is the real name of Coco Chanel.
Behind every name within the Chanel range (makeup, bags, perfumes,...) there is always a link to Gabrielle's Chanel past.
I really like that, when you buy a Chanel product, you buy some history <3

Chanel Gabrielle Rouge Coco

This Rouge Coco Gabrielle lipstick is a beautiful red shade, I did not have a classic red shade in my makeup collection so that's why I got myself this one.
I absolutely love my Chanel lipstick!
It stays on so good and it doesn't dry your lips at all, which is important to me as I have dry lips.

Rouge Coco Gabrielle - € 35,00

What do you think about my new purchase?
Do you like it?
